Dreamer
By MPTGraves
A boy with head quite full of dreams
was born in a little house,
and spent his days imagining
big things like how to douse
a herd of elephants with cream
from but a single saucer,
or how to multiply sixteen
by nuts and bolts and washers.
He loved to walk along the path
while talking to his muses,
though people stared and people laughed,
he noticed no abuses.
Years they passed, as oft they do,
and grew, the boy, upwards.
His mind remained in the wild blue
aflying with the Wub-birds
When he died his tombstone read,
(ironically it seemed):
"here lies him who now is dead,
but never died his dreams."
