Stories
I used to write quite a bit, but I have a bad habit of never finishing anything longer than a few pages. I am trying to break that trend, however, in my non-existant free time! All of the following stories were written by me, please don't steal them in part or whole, but you're welcome to proliferate them if you credit them with "mptgraves" and "mptgravesite.com" Feel free to email comments to mptgraves@mptgravesite.com.
Short Stories
This story regales the tale of how Peabody's donuts got stolen. It spent many years in the oral tradition before I laid it down in writing in September of 2011.

This is a disgusting short story that is probably only going to be entertaining for the elementary school crowd who enjoyed "Married With Children" and "Ace Ventura". I am not necessarily part of that demographic, but it's hard to hate your own creations, so it's on the site anyway. Don't say I didn't warn you!

Why I'm in Need of Professional Help: An Illustration Through Fiction
For a while in college my friend Adam and I wrote some short stories in response to writing prompts which we took turns devising. I recently found a few of these relics and enjoyed reading them. If I find more I'll probably post them here. This was the prompt for this story:
"pinkdreampoppies (2:35:42 AM): I want a story about the feeling of someone following you. I want this story to involve a stuffed owl, an interstate bypass that's under construction, and a trenchcoat."

This might be better suited for the Poetry page, but it tells a story, so I decided to put it here. I think this piece describes the timeless struggle with Writer's Block and tells of a blow I dealt it once in college, ironically by writing about it.
