Correspondance medicates
the silly male's tempt of fate
that comes about from time to then
when perpetrates he, some odd sin
like making joke at her expense
or pointing out that she is dense
and falls he, then, for lack of sense
and suffers forth forever hence
unless is wise, our wayward son
who seeks recourse for what he's done
by sublimating manful pride
enduring bitter she to ride
and through his paces walks him, her
to prove a point about self-worth:
that men without it need a leash
to kow and tow and nibble quiche
while those whose selves are proper weighed
burn bright and fierce and glint with jade
but hold their stiffened necks quite high
and to no woman ever die.
