Shambhala
By MPTGraves
I know this place from memory
and dreams well worth recalling.
I miss it day by day by day
and further am I falling,
But in my sleep I’ve still the right
To view, unscathed, my vision.
To gaze on snow-filled forests white
’neath silver moon’s ambition.
For nothing but a snow fresh-downed
Can set my heart to soaring,
But no one else may share in this:
My honest heart’s-adoring.
I’ve tarried long but now it comes,
The reason for my writing.
I shall go and sleep but deep
As dreams begin alighting.
